I love this perspective so much. It’s the one I prescribe to, too. In my Art History class, we’re going over the Renaissance painters and architects and how they all were searching for the “divine proportion” that they thought existed — this “perfect” specimen of humanity. But there’s no such thing. There’s no single perfect embodiment of beauty. Beauty isn’t in diversity, beauty is diversity.
